After writing that last post, I’ve talked myself into going to the Fly Fishing Show, even booked a hotel with free breakfast. That’ll be fun. Scoot up to Atlanta on Friday after work, hit the show on Saturday, and come back on Sunday. It’ll be a good break from doing work-related stuff each of the past few weekends. Most people enjoy playoff football, I do not. I’ll leave it at that.
It’ll also be a nice break from migrating this stupid website from Blogger. Boy, can I tell you how much that sucks? Broken photos and links galore. A user interface that continuously times out when I try to delete things in bulk… Oh, and evidently Blogger randomly ignored the word “the” when building the URL strings for each post… but upon import, WordPress did not.
So approximately 3.2 kabillion of my links that are floating around in search engines, antiquated fishing forums, other people’s defunct blogs, and your sister’s browser history are now dead. Not that I really care if people read the old stuff. (Except this post because it’s exceptional.) But obtaining that now worthless page rank or whatever it’s called was hard earned dammit!

Seriously, if anybody knows an easy way to update my current WordPress URLs so all my legacy links that feature “the” in the post’s title aren’t broken across the interwebz, maybe you could help a brother out?
Talk about first world problems that shouldn’t concern someone of sound mind. What the f*ck am I doing? I’m almost 47 years old, I should be smarter than this by now.
Speaking of which, there are over 8 billion people on Earth. But only a few of them do really cool shit. From his early days of mixing sick music with superior GoPro fly fishing footage via Yukon Goes Fishing, it was clear that Ivan Orsic was one of those dudes that was destined to do really cool shit in life…

Honestly, I don’t even know exactly what all kinds of cool shit he does these days, but it looks like he and his agency were somehow involved in creating the video teaser content for this new Ross reel…
Like I said, some people are destined to do really cool shit. The kind of shit that looks professional, gets you other gigs shooting yoga pant clad women, and earns respect from your peers. While others… well, they waste time fiddling with 15 year old blog content that nobody even reads anymore. To each their own I suppose…
