The Wild Wild East

Yeah, this movie came out six months ago, so I’m late to the game, but rather than watch football, basketball, or yet another Christmas movie, I decided to give The Wild Wild East from Very Good Fly Fishing a go during a lazy afternoon yesterday.

I must say, it was a pretty enjoyable watch. The premise more or less was that two friends were going to take three days to float, fish, and film the Ausable River in the New York Adirondacks.

Spoiler alert, they did end up doing that, but what I liked most was the fact that these two guys came up with an idea, did the research, and made it happen (with the generous support of some brand sponsors). Not sure if I’d ever plan to pilot inflatable rafts for the very first time, filled with expensive gear, on what could have been a dangerous and technical float. Ah, to be young…

Anyway, if you have a spare 45 minutes, give it a watch. I know you’ll enjoy it too.
