Oh, The Agony!

Yeah, time to fill out some paperwork thanks to an end of day in-stream stumble down in North Carolina.  Will this be considered abuse of warranty due to my own clumsiness?  Guess I’ll find out.  At least I’m not lying by saying it just snapped hauling in a lunker mid-fight.
Say what you will about tenkara, but a least getting a replacement section only costs about $7 and can be acquired without sending in your whole rod + $$$ + a TPS report.
Appears the CGR will be inserted into the rotation for the time being…

  1. Redington is usually really good about their warranty. They replaced one of my rod tips after I admitted breaking it off while trying to unsnag a fly. Actually they've replaced two. I think I did have to pay $20.

  2. yeeeeeaaaaaaaahhhhhhh….. I'm gonna have to agree with you on Tenkara's replacement policy. phenomenal. I lost that effing screw cap. for $7 it was at my door in about 36hrs. crazy.

  3. Watch your cornhole. That's a new game isn't it? bean bags and some wooden things with a hole in it. I'm sure that's what that is. You could always just take it out back and beat it to death with a sledge hammer. 🙂

  4. I know what you sound like after losing a Trout… Did you subject a “popper” southern gentleman's ears to one of your outbursts? (:

  5. Report??? Huh…I have broken rods before (of course, I am the River Damsel) and that is a new one. I have heard that Redington does quite well with “accidents”. You'll be out in no time catching those branches again… = )
